That means a saving of 80% on bills & greenhouse emissions. As this video is from about two years ago one can only assume that they have come across economic hurdles from the government.

Below a Magnetic hybrid motorbike from Japan. Another invention to elleviate tax & government charges. All electric bikes in Australia are free from registration & even the need for a license.

chris brett fav1 - spy guy

Chris Brett is another favourite artist based in Canada, who i originally came across on Red Bubble. I found his creepy cute characters to be an instant like, with some of his art inspired by spy v's spy cartoon, the Spy Guy series is very cool. They are all unique & fresh with a dark side that is fun. You can check Chris's site out for his prints, T-shirts & dates for his up & coming art shows http://www.chrisbrett.ca/ or you can also find him on twitter at http://twitter.com/ChrisBrett

Another exciting artist from Art Sydney '09 was Dirtfish. Melbourne based contempory street art is his focuse. With canvas & prints a main, which are wearing these funky happy characters that Dirtfish has created. Another passion that he pursues is toys, turning his cool characters into three dimensinal mini, almost installation art, which he hangs hats on for a bit more fun.

cuprocking by Andy Uprock

Was a pleasure to see Andy Uprocks work last night at the Ivy. Cuprocking was created by Andy with recycled cups, something he took from his youth & relocated it into the now of Sydney & beyond.
Andy's cuprocking has given streetart & work for people to see from Surry Hills to Bondi. An artist that is always up to something & creating from what is.
Just a couple of pic's from the entrance of the Ivy where Andy Uprock had his display.

SMC[3]

I caught up with SMC[3] a while ago to find out what got him into street art & graffiti. As we chatted he told me that he has always enjoyed drawing & creating cartoon characters for friends & fun.
It wasn't until just over three years ago that he actually picked up a can & began creating his fantastic characters, that you can see around the Inner West, CBD, May Lane, SugarMill aswell as his wheatpaste characters.

Largest toxic dump of it's type in Botany

For about the past five years i have been aware of a toxic waste dump in the suburb of Botany, Sydney.

The dump being reportedly three times over it's maximum limits.

I also viewed a very eye opening documentary about the issue of waste that the COMMUNITY disposal comity faced. These people were mostly made up of local residents that live in the area & have grave concerns about how it actually will be disposed of.

Resent research revealed that the toxic dump is the largest of it's kind in the entire world.

Holding a poison that has been band in this country since the late eighties & America band it even earlier, it's name is Hexachlorobenzene.

Desposing of the dangerous chemical is proving troublesome, as the Australian government has looked at swapping it for some foreign debt that another country may have. But then the issue lies. . what will they do with it, sell it on to a 3rd world country to possible insinerate the toxic waste or just dump it into the water.

I'll be looking into how the government will treat the waste, one method will leave the dangerous chemicals like black ashfalt, that will be ground up to use in roads.

The portion below is from 'Sydney indy media'

I wonder what Denmark can do with this stuff that cant be done safely in Australia I have a suspicion that once it is moved from Australia to Denmark it may then be disappeared to the third world where it may go on to pollute our whole planet. ICI / Orica has been responsible for polluting the ground water at Botany. Water incidentally that local property owners were using to water their veggie gardens. The whole process of producing a product should include dealing safely with the waste products of the that manufacturing process. There are photographs of ICI back in the seventies dumping drums of waste off barges into the coastal waters. We now understand the treachery of such irresponsible actions by corporate giants, but we are not really that keen to address the issues at the grass roots level.

Programmable Matter

Shape shifting material that can transform in real time. The possibility of making a 3D prototype of anything on the spot, that can ulter colour & shape while handling it.

A place for local & international street artists

On Sydneys city fringe, there's a small established suburb, an industrial area that is a rich haven for creativity.
St Peters is thriving in the music, art & dancing arena locally & internationally. One local home for graffiti &/or street artists & there work is the May Lane project. This public street art gallery has been lively for a good six years now & in this time a multitude of display's & styles have been shown on the walls of May Lane. The local art space is the innovation of Tugi Balog
Creating a legal place for graffiti artists to practice there skill without worry of a chase & for locals in the area & passes by to admire there work.

Moore Park resently was a buzz with the energy of art. On my Sunday visit to Art Sydney, of the 3 day event 22 - 25 Oct. It was a fairly vast space full of some or quite a few of Australia's best artists. Several i was lucky enough to talk to & photograph them with there art.
A very full day with to much to see. As a lover & doer of art i would like to share the wonderful & diverse culture we have in Oz with everyone from everywhere that loves art.

Has the Legal System lost it's marbels

I have watched this video several times now & want to see if anyone else is
thinking close to what i am. . .

Is our sense of justice grossly warped to actually think that kid is in
an anywhere near fair situation. Is our legal system not paid to be
impartial & not to be swade by an angry town?
Do you think the result is out of line with the crimes that really do go on?

Please if you have an opinion, voice it. .

Peace to ya
